Latvian Phone Bill Envelope (BITE)

POSTAL HISTORY embraces every aspect of postal services includes the collection of stamps and postal labels on envelopes or 'cover'. Some collectors think that postal history should be confined to either the pre-stamp period (i.e. before 1840), or at least to the 19th century. Postal historians with a broader outlook recognise that postal history is still being made. The use of, for instance, emergency provisional stamps on cover is a vital part of philately. In early 21^st century in Latvia, untility bills were mailed in coperation with the Latvian Post Office. Here we focus on phone bills and their unique design that was used in delivery process.
